Terms and Conditions
Skip Hire
Payment
Payment for your skip or any services must be made in full when you place your order, unless we’ve agreed something different in writing. For account customers paying by invoice, if payment isn’t made on time, we can cancel your booking straight away and claim any costs or losses this causes us.Standard Hire Period – Private Customers
Our skips are normally hired for 3–5 days, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. If you need the skip for longer, extra charges will apply. Please make sure the skip is ready to collect after your hire period ends unless you’ve arranged an extension with us.Standard Hire Period – Account Customers
If you have an account with us, you can hire a skip for up to 8 weeks from delivery. After this time, extra rental charges will apply, and there may be limits on how often we move or exchange the skip unless we’ve agreed differently.Placement Off the Public Highway
If you ask us to put a skip or container somewhere that means our vehicle must leave the public road (like on your drive, grass verge, or private land), you agree that you’re responsible for any damage that happens, including damage to your property or anyone else’s (like drains, pavements, or covers).
Please note: We can’t accept responsibility for any damage to property during delivery or collection.Responsibility for the Skip
While you have the skip, you are responsible if it gets damaged, stolen, or lost. If this happens, you’ll need to cover the full cost to replace or repair it (except for normal wear and tear).Using the Skip – What You Can and Can’t Do
Prohibited Waste: Do not fill skips with restricted waste like plasterboard, carpets, asbestos, tyres, paint, batteries, fridges, or other hazardous items. If you’re planning to dispose of very heavy or inert waste, please contact us first so we can make sure you get the right size skip.
Loading: Your skip must only be filled to the level top edge – do not overload. If we can’t collect it safely or it’s too heavy, we’ll need to charge you for a wasted collection and any extra weight.
You must not:
Increase the size by adding boards, doors, or other extensions.
Set fire to anything in the skip.
Move the skip or interfere with any of its parts.
Paint, mark, or put advertising on the skip.
Remove or cover any name plates or markings.
Restricted Items: Unless we’ve agreed otherwise, you must not put the following in a general waste skip:
Plasterboard
Fridges/freezers
Mattresses or tyres
TVs or monitors
Liquids, paint tins
Gas bottles or cylinders
Asbestos
Clinical or medical waste
Fluorescent tubes
Hazardous or toxic materials
If any of these are found, extra charges will apply.
Waste Acceptance
If your waste doesn’t meet our acceptance rules, we can refuse to take it and recover any costs involved.Incorrect Waste Description
If the waste you put in the skip isn’t what you told us when you booked, we’ll need to apply a contamination or sorting charge.
